New tattoos can “weep” meaning the plasma and ink form a thin wet coating on the skin.

This can be taken care of by pressing a clean paper towel on the surface. Be gentle, Do not wipe or be rough. Do not use toilet paper. It is normal to see some ink on the paper towel, its just excess ink. May see some of this on your bedding or clothing. Stolen from Sacred Traditions Tattoo

Re-bandage/ Wear loose, preferably cotton clothing over fresh tattoos.

Very rare circumstances on when it should be re-bandaged. Wearing rough materials will act like sandpaper on fresh tattoos. A bra strap, waistband, denim, rubbing location, ect, can all potentially create healing problems. Consult your artist on advice on what to wear/avoid. Stolen from Sacred Traditions Tattoo

After a few days, the tattoo will begin to form flakey scabs that will fall off on their own.

Do not pick or scratch, we know its super itchy. Keep it moisturized and the scabs will eventually slough off. They most likely will be the color of your tattoo and this is normal. Tattoo healing takes about 2-4 weeks so be patient.
